HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO GET A TATTOO?
Tattoo procedure depends on the art and nature of the skin. Some skin is easier to tattoo than others. Darker skin and fibrous skin is tough and usually takes longer to tattoo. A tattoo can take 3hrs to 20hrs+ to complete.
HOW MUCH DO YOU CHARGE?
Pricing depends on time of designing, outline and shading process, the size of the body area, art details, location on the body.
HOW DO I BOOK AN APPOINTMENT?
Appointment only, on a first come first served basis, it is best to book in advance. Send an email with a general idea of the art, send in some photo references, city, phone contact and dates to schedule your appointment. First we have to do a phone consultation.
HOW OLD DO I HAVE TO BE TO GET A TATTOO?
You must be 18 years of age or older with a valid State or Federal photo ID or Passport if you’re from another country. It is against (California Penal Code Section 653) to tattoo a minor, even with parental consent.No exceptions.
HOW DO I GET ON YOUR WAITING LIST AND WHEN IS YOUR NEXT OPENING?
I don’t have a waiting list. I don’t book years in advance, I take tattoo project that I feel is the most creative and interesting ideas.
DO YOU USE TRADITIONAL POLYNESIAN TATTOO TOOLS?
No, I use the best premium tattoo equipment and products with the latest technology in the industry from needles to machines, ink etc
CAN YOU SKETCH ME A DRAWING OF MY TATTOO DESIGN?
No, all tattoos are drawn freehand/freestyle onto the skin on the day of your appointment.
DOES IT HURT?
Yes, It’s not an aching pain but a sore and sunburn feeling then it numbs 3-5hrs into the process. Your body releases endorphins when you go through pain and there’s an adrenaline rush, so you’ll be fine.
DO I NEED TO LEAVE A DEPOSIT IF I DECIDE TO SET UP AN APPOINTMENT?
Yes, deposit is required to book and confirm an appointment. Deposits are non-refundable if you cancel your appointment within 24hrs prior to your tattoo appointment. Your deposit applied to the final price of your tattoo.
WILL YOU DO A COVER-UP?
Yes, if the artwork is a traditional art of Polynesian, Micronesian, Melanesian, Borneo, Filipino, Taino, Native American, African or any native Tribal tattoos. If it is not a Tribal tattoo I won’t cover it up.
HOW LONG DOES A TATTOO TAKE TO HEAL?
It takes at least 2 weeks to heal, but it takes months for the skin to fully regenerate.
HOW SHOULD I PREPARE FOR MY TATTOO?
Eat well before you come in and drink lots of water to stay hydrated. It’s best not to drink alcohol the night before your tattoo appointment, as it increases the skin from bleeding up to 24hrs. Blood also dilutes the tattoo ink pigment affecting the appearance of the tattoo and healing process of your tattoo. Your sugar level will drop during the tattoo process so you may feel woozy light-headed, so bring soda, fruits, juice, and snacks to fuel up energy.
Remember to stay calm and stay cool the pain is temporary and the art is a lifetime investment.
